Are supplements necessary for weight loss and better workouts?

There is a huge industry on supplements. If there is good money in an industry, unfortunately, there are plenty of lies as well. Therefore, we have no choice but to be careful and do our own research. While a famous doctor says that something is very good and harmless, another social media influencer may claim that it causes cancer the next day. Personally, I just ignore those influencers and popular figures. Instead, I follow fitness channels on Youtube that walk you through scientific articles. Thus, I can both see the results of scientific studies and benefit from the experiences of the athletes themselves. Since I am not an expert either, I will only share my own experience in this article. I will also talk about things that are certain to be false and try to ensure that you do not fall for scams.

Vitamins

You can find any kind of vitamins even in the supermarkets in Berlin. So you can consume as much as you want. But is it necessary? Ideally, you should be able to get vitamins you need from your meals. But this is not always the case. We need sunlight for vitamin D anyway, but in countries like Germany we hardly have any sunlight in winter. Of course, it would be best to have a blood test first to make the decision of vitamin deficiency. As a result of this test, your doctor should guide you. On the other hand, it is possible to minimize vitamin deficiency by eating a balanced diet. Fruits, vegetables, grains, legumes… All are good sources of vitamins.
